Department Goals
Digital commerce, as one of the key dimensions of the digital economy, refers to a set of business processes and activities that use new technologies, especially the technologies of the Industry 4.0 revolution. This type of business includes the use of digital platforms for advertising and marketing, and the application of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, and blockchain, and also encompasses data mining to improve efficiency and customer experience, blockchain-based payments, customer relationship management through artificial intelligence, and virtual worlds of business. Digital commerce not only helps to expand markets and increase access to customers but also helps to develop technologies and innovations in the field of trade and commerce. Therefore, the most important strategies in the Faculty of Commerce and Trade have been the development of digital commerce at the national and international level and the establishment of this department through the faculty. The main goal of this group is to provide educational, research, and consulting services to students and stakeholders in the field of business and commerce in the field of digital business and new technologies in the field of commerce. Also, the main vision of this group will be to have an impact on solving or reducing the problems of society and industry in the field of digital commerce.
The main goals of this group can be presented as follows;
1) Providing high-quality education in the field of modern business
• Providing comprehensive training in business and commerce, integrating theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for success in the digital market and modern business;
2) Communication with society and industry
• Reducing or solving the problems of society and industry in the field of digital commerce and using new technologies in the field of commerce;
• Strengthening relationships with industrial partners to increase job opportunities for students in various work fields such as e-commerce, digital marketing, artificial intelligence-based business, etc.;
3) Research and innovation
• Establishing joint research and development centers with large economic enterprises and other members of the network of stakeholders in the field of trade and commerce;
• Providing consulting and research services in the field of digital business and using new technologies in the field of marketing to the relevant stakeholders;
• Creating a dynamic, flexible, and suitable environment for research and innovation and providing incentives for professors and students in this regard;
4) Skill development
• Improving the skills of students, graduates, and other stakeholders in the field of digital commerce;
• Training in working with artificial intelligence, e-commerce, digital marketing, modern international payments, communication with electronic customers, business intelligence, etc. to the beneficiaries;
5) Moral and social responsibility
• Responsible and ethics-oriented research and innovations in the field of digital business;
• Adopting social responsibilities towards stakeholders active in the field of trade and commerce in society;
• Development and growth of skills in people to conduct fast and safe business with the world;
6) Continuous updating of disciplines and course content
• Continuous updating in the field of educational content and group disciplines according to the current needs of the country and global trends.
